I don't have anything around me like that that I can think of that would make paint for me.
So you do need to clear coat it, that was going to be an upcoming question from me. Still unsure of what I want to do. Leaning towards the silver, just seems like more work/money than originally thought.

Found a set of Thule Aeroblades for sale locally for my car. Thinking I may take them, they look great. Opinions?

What's the preparation process to do this? Is it just wash and clean the area spray the color on and then clear coat it? I've gone back to that picture so many times now my car looks weird with the black trim. I'm going to go with the color that matches 100% whether that means ordering it from that site or finding someplace near me to do it.

The true paint is a two stage base/clear. The color coat has no gloss so you need to clearcoat it. The Duplicolor probably doesn't need a separate clear, as I think it's a gloss already. You need to thoroughly clean and dry the trim, then hit it with two coats of adhesion promoter, two coats of filler primer, then paint and clear. I did four coats of each of those. It's some work for sure - think I spent about 9 hours total on it (although a chunk of that was drying and curing time. Worth the effort to go slowly and do it right. Look through the paint info posts made by member airguard350 a couple years back. Pat was a body man by trade and did some really informative paint background posts on here.

Plasti dipped my wheels today with the anthracite grey and they look amazing. I also painted the calipers red. Was only able to get 3 wheels done today, the other one will be finished tomorrow.

I'll have pictures up tomorrow once I'm completely finished.

Waiting for my center caps to arrive until I post pictures of the finished setup. The first set I ordered did not fit but I gave them a try because it was only $50 for all 4. They were for a newer year rim and just barely too big. I ordered the ones I know will fit yesterday for $140. No that is not a typo, $140 for all 4. Who knows when they will get here though as they are coming from Europe.

The dealer wanted $75 EACH, I laughed when he told me that over the phone.

I canceled my order from the site that I ordered my center caps from after hearing nothing from them after 4 days. Sent 2-3 emails asking for an update and got nothing back. Didn't have a good feeling about the site from the start put I paid through PayPal so I knew if it didn't go well PayPal would cover me. After the 5th day of hearing nothing back I opened a PayPal claim to get my $140 back. The next day I got a reply from the company, shocker right? I asked for my money back and had a refund the next day. I would avoid this site Original Auto Parts

So now that I canceled that order I had to try to find 4 center caps which is close to impossible for these wheels and I have no idea why. Over the course of 2-3 days searching eBay and other sites I was able to find 4 center caps from 3 different sellers on eBay for about $85. All of the other sites were asking $40ish for 1 cap. I'm glad it didn't work out with my original purchase, saved me a good amount of money!

Should have all 4 center caps at various times this week. Heres how it currently looks though.

Looks very close to how mine looked a couple years back - I had gunmetal Avus wheels too.

When you get the fixes done that you're doing, look at the A8/TT brake upgrade. Great mod for not much money.

Anthracite actually haha. Really happy with the color and the wheels.

I don't have anything else planned at the moment. Maybe just painting the lowers silver to match the rest of the car but that's about it. Might not get to that before the cold weather strikes though especially since classes will be starting back up next week.

How much does the brake upgrade cost? I'm sure there's DIY's here on the forums if I search right?
