Default need links. For. Fwd/awd conversion info

I'm not getting very good results with the search, and need to find some how to's / info on fwd to awd conversion
I've found a couple NICE fwd cars, but have to have awd...
I'm sure this comes up all the time, but I'm not finding anything with replies

Any help appreciated

How can you not find any Quattro cars??? I am pretty sure it will cost you WAY more than the car is worth to do this. You need a new tranny, drive shaft, rear diff, and a bunch of other stuff that I can't think of. Just try and find a Quattro car and save yourself the hassle.

From what I understand, it's not possible. The rear unibody structure won't support it, and everything is different back there.

feerocknok is right the whole rear setup is completly different you can find a decent quattro (or any AWD car) for around 5k converting a car into AWD will cost say about 5-10k in parts and labour.

The cost and labor involved would be less than trading it in for an awd car.

I found an exceptional fwd 1.8t 5spd and wanted to weigh my options.
Thanks for the quick & concise advice.
I'll pass on it and keep looking for a Quattro...
-not because I couldn't fabricate but because I WOULDN'T.
