if you mean the electric secondary fan, you probably dont need it unless its a hot day and your idleing in traffic and are not using the A/C. if you disconnect it tho, make sure when your driving to keep an eye on your temp gauge. if your engine gets hot enough the vicious fan cant cool it, it will kick on the second fan.

and to get to this one you can just remove the electrical lines going to it, it does not require removal of the nose like the vicious fan would.

well you cant disconnect it its not electrical becides you wuldnt want to because its creates the extra air flow over your radiator when your not moving and its kind of important.

well i looked up the part and its about $120 which is no biggie. but does anyone know how hard it is to put in? id rather do it myself instead of taking it to my mechanic. i cant seem to find a DIY on it anywhere though so i would have no idea how to do it, what tools are involved ect. anyone got something?

you still havnt answered my question as to which fan it is, theres two. ones mechanical on the drivers side, ones electrical on the passengers side.

its the belt driven one of the engine. the viscious fan or w/e its called.
