Default Need urgent help with TRE removal!

Hey guys,

So I started doing my control arms today...

When I got to remove the 3rd bolt on the TRE it snapped in my hands. Here is a picture.

Is that bolt threaded in there or is it just sitting in there? I mean can I punch it out with a punch/hammer or am I going to have to drill it out? Any other ideas? It seems to be stuck in there pretty good...

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks

I had the same problem. I drilled most of it out with a slightly smaller drill and then used a punch to hammer it out. Good luck!

Bang on the pinch part of the spindle and then try and slam it out with a punch... Air hammer would help alot. Also try and compress the bushing in so that the groove is dead on the bolt.

Alright well I did the same thing bkraska did, I drilled some of it out then managed to punch it out.

I just started working on the pinch bolt and ermmmm, I guess the TRE was just a taste of the pinch bolt. God I love salty quebec roads -_-
