Hey Guys. After dumping my B6 into an oil truck a few years back I haven't been on the forums at all really. Picked up a 98 2.8qm yesterday and I've been on here lurkin around so I figured I'd check in. It had one owner since '97 and only has 96k on the clock right now. Runs and drives real nice and I'm very happy w/ it. Usually I'm not big on white cars but the pearl white is really nice.

 

Picked up a 2000 A4 1.8T Quattro with 153k the weekend after Thanksgiving last year. Despite the laundry list of maintenance to do (luckily I knew what I was getting into), I am happy with it.

After searching for way too long for a 1998-2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5rs coupe, I decided to pursue other AWD cars. I always loved the look of the B5s, and my local dealership had one for a great price. And they worked with my nonexistant credit.

On the way is my new SB clutch, flywheel, timing belt, water pump, and valve cover gaskets.

I am a new member here and appreciate that there is a forum. I purchased an A4, 1997 from a woman who had this car sitting in her yard for almost 3 years. My youngest daughter (youngest of six), will be getting her license this month. I have been working on this car for 7 months now in a rather blind manner. I know already I'll need help and hope to learn alot in this forum.

Why did you decide to buy one? the choices of a 4WD 5spd wagon are far and few between. Plus you don't lose cool points with an Audi...

Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? ...had a few in mind - wrx, 3series, saab, but went with the Audi. It has its needs, so I'll be working on it for the next cpl of months

I love it. Everything is so tight, not all loose like a lot of other cars. And the Clutch is absolutely perfect.

I was thinking about buying a foxbody mustang. However I decided this car was much more practical to own and just as much to maintain, judging by how reliable the 80's mustangs are.

 

I love reading these post of how excited people are within their first week of ownership... It's like little do they know this car will destroy every fiber of their soul...

 

I love my new 01 audi a4 1.8t quattro! She is sexy and super sweet to drive.
I have owned my car for 1 month and love it!
They are an awesome german car with the best AWD design which is simply amazing.
I looked for some a6's but wanted something a bit more nimble. BTW I loved mine so much that I bought my wife a 98 2.8 quattro.

I also must say that I love this site and everyone who contributes to it.

 

Would you recommend buying a car that doesn't destroy every fiber of your soul? I'm open to suggestions.
