New A4 owners check in
Do you like your new audi? Its not new anymore, but I'm still madly in love.
How long have you owned it? This summer will be 3 years.
Why did you decide to buy one? I needed to get away from driving my 94 Lincoln Mark VIII. Plus I needed a car with better gas mileage, and this was the first car I found that I could afford (first car I've ever had in my name and that I paid for)
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? There were a few. I looked at a 04(?) Honda civic, a Toyota pickup, and an Acura integra. Soooo happy I waited the extra couple months until I found this.

First post up on these forums
1. I think I liked my E36 better... however, starting to come around and I have a few things planned that I hope are fun!
2. Few months and 8000 miles, I have to say she's done pretty good
3. Ashamed to say it was a cheap car I found after I had a slight run in with the back of an SUV in my E36
4. Didn't have many options, I needed a car to get to school

I've had 3 in the last 6 months. current one, A4 V6, 1998 has issues but not a bad car. Current issues are heater fan wont work and car stalls a lot after i have been driving it for about an hour. Throw me an email if you know what the fixes are before i decide to crush it!!!!
Do you like your new audi? Love it, Great car still trying to customize it to be mine.
How long have you owned it? I have owned it for about 3 months.
Why did you decide to buy one? I found a really good deal on one, and it was owned by an Audi technician who kept up the maintenance.
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi? Not really i wasn't even looking for a car but figured i would upgrade from my mk3 jetta.

1. I love driving my Audi Quattro. It's a fun car. So far no major issues with it. As soon as I bought it I had all the major services done to it and it's been a dream since (knock on wood).
2. It's been almost exactly one year.
3. I bought it because my MK4 Jetta was on it's last legs and I really wanted a German car other than a VW that was a 5 speed.
4. Yup, I was looking at Porsche's and BMW's. I would love to get my hands on a nice Porsche 911, but the Audi was in really good condition and had good records. In time I'll have the Porsche. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Hey Im Adrian from New York City 20 years old, just joined and about to pick up a 2001 A4 2.8 Quattro 5 speed Hibiscus Red Pearl sedan as my first car
Just driven it a few times but I loved the way it felt and drove. Cant make many comments yet though.
Why did you decide to buy one?
The looks, the feel and the fact that everyone in my family buys German, my dad had a very similar spec Passat years back and others to follow, my uncle had this generation in the avant until he upgraded to the b7.
Was there another vehicle you were thinking about before you bought the audi?
I looked at a 2002 Gti, and a 1991 Audi 200 20v Quattro wagon both were sweet but got sold before I could jump on them. Also a Jetta VR6 and a 2000 passat wagon v6, all five speed manual. All nice cars but for me the Audi was the the all around winner and the best deal
