No pressure in my brake lines.

LMAO, oh yeah. Duh! OK, got the old one out, new one in and hooked up. Ready for fluid and bleeding next. Should the pedal be up or down? It appears to be all the way down right now. Maybe it's cuz the system is pretty much completely dry?

How do you bench bleed it? I stopped working on it yesterday after I got it all connected. It was too damn hot out.
I was just out staring at it. If it is "bench bled" will it not get air in it after I remove the reservoir to re-install it? There's no way to bolt that deal back in with the reservoir attached.

OK, got a bench bleed kit, and the dude at the parts store seems to think I can bleed the master cylinder without removing it. I'm concerned that air will get trapped in the outermos corner of the cylinder, but he seems to think any air in there will be forced out by pumping. Anyone else ever done this?

Always bench bleed. I didn't know there was a kit. I just looped the line back in. You can do it with the master on its just called a bench bleed because its usually done on a bench. either way your moving the piston. You should be fine and should have any air pockets.

Just to avoid any confusion, what line did you loop back into the reservoir? Not one of those hard brakelines I hope.
Also, I'm going to need to get that dirt trap/screen do-hicky out of the reservoir. How does one go about that?

Awesome! Now that I've reconnected the battery, the brakelights are on, and stay on. What the ****!
edit: I think I need to adjust the brake light sensor switch, down by the pedal. Can it be reset, or does it have to be replaced?
Edit: was able to push the sensor back in, while slowly twisting it clockwise. Just pushed it in until the "plunger" part was pushed back inti the sensor by pushing up against the brake pedal arm.
