P03041 - No start
Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've been on, but I have an issue that I just cannot resolve...
Car has a new block, timing belt, and starter. Car ran great for a couple of months and then stopped starting. Constantly throwing this code:
16725 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40)
P0341 - 35-00 - Implausible Signal
I have replaced the sensor, tested with a known good (stock program) ECU, and even run separate wires from the sensor to the ECU. I have tried cleaning the pins and even using new pins. I can usually get the car to start just once every few months, as that's about the interval I have for working on it (I'm in dental school and don't have a lot of time to mess with it. Go figure). The car will crank all day, but will never start more than once. And that's if I'm lucky.
I have had a shop look at it and they couldn't figure it out. I tried to have the dealer diagnose the issue and they claimed that it was the ECU, but wouldn't guarantee it until I bought a new ECU for $1800. Nice try. This was even after I had told them I had tested with a good ECU. The only think left that I can think to do is replace the wiring harness.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
