Question about ABS Light
Hi,
Couples month ago, I got the abs light and brake light on. So I checked on internet and on this forum to know what happened. I finally went to an audi dealer and they said that the abs module was "broken" and It was like 2000$ bucks to repair it !!! Too expensive for me lol
I would like to know if there is a cheap way to repair it ? I saw that a company repair some of the module but I do not know if it still the case. I check on ebay but i have found lots of abs module
Any idea ?
Thanks guys

Status: offline I believe that the ABS system Audi uses is comprised of three parts, a computer, pump, and pressure modulator. I believe it is possible to replace one of these parts independent from the others, which is what rebuilding the ABS does. If you can find someone to do it for cheaper and they seem reliable, it might be worth the risk. I would personally rather just buy the part new, seeing as the whole braking / ABS system is a little more important safety wise then something such as a radio or the like. [align=right]

My ABS lights are on and it is just a computer chip that will cost $145 including Labor. Did you get it Scanned? I would recommend taking it to a reputable Audi certified repair shop, instead of the Stealership and see what they say.
and they gave no fault code? that's disgusting and a price rip, next time ask for the fault code or ask them anyway since you paid for that and they should have given you that at least as proof[:-]

Yes, I performed the scan at my audi dealership, and the result was that the module was dead, and it was like 2000$ to fix it

If you haven't had it fixed yet.....Take it to EuroSports in Plano.....It will be worth your time!!
I couldn't hold out to find the elusive M abs module so I'm sending mine to these guys. For 3 day turn around and a lifetime guarantee $140 ain't bad.
