question on audi a4 1.8t motor
hey guys i need some help on this.
i have a 99 audi a4 1.8t q automatic
my motor is bad so i bought a 98 vw passat
the passat has the same motor 1.8t but the car is stick shift and not a quattro.
i bolted up the motor to my car but when i tighten down the tranny to the motor and try to move the crank shaft its too hard like if it were stuck...the motor is fine beacause i started it up on the passat and it ran well......so a little help here please......thanx

not that i know of. the difference between them is a flat vs bulbous spigot on the flywheel end, and a provision for a pilot bearing. im pretty sure swapping the crank is your only option
