Default question on HFC install....

so i know a few of you guys on here are running a 034 HFC, so my question is

-How did you tighten the cat to turbo nuts?? You can’t go at it with the socket because there is no room between the bigger diameter piping on the cat and the side of the nut, and a wrench doesn’t fit in those areas.

Thanks guys

Nevermind! did a bit more digging and found out they use different nuts.

How do you mean by different nut?
The normal OE-specified nuts to hold the cat to the turbo require a 17mm socket/wrench. As you found out they are the biggest pain in the *** EVER to tighten/remove (I used to remove and install the turbo and cat together).

Just in case others want this information, I now use these nuts:
Home Page > Search > 18301737774 > ES#40452 Hex Nut - Priced Each - 18301737774
If you search that same part number on AutoHausAZ they cost half as much... Anyways, these nuts use a 15mm socket/wrench which definitely fits. I've got the FrankenTurbo exhaust manifold, and that makes the nut closest to the exhaust mani even more challenging to get at and these nuts do the trick (and a swivel + 3" extension takes the cake).
