Default rear coilover installation audi a4

when installing my new kw v1's rear coilovers on my 2.8q.. i noticed that when i removed the jack the car was higher than stock wtf im retarded (note the coilovers were as low as they could go)! everything was in place! is it possible that the arm that extends from the coilover bracket housing was moved causing the control arm to be lower than possible. Please help my dumbass and to clarify this is what i read from a forum on coilover install.

----The last two bits are to be done with the car on the ground, according to Bentley. The idea is to avoid preloading the suspension bushings. Good luck with the upper control arm bolt; I'm sure you could fit a torque wrench around the tire easily, provided you remove the fender. Instead, I just jacked up the suspension a few inches to simulate being on the ground.

My fellow audi enthusiasts please help me for this is my first time doing this.
Thanks

just a thought, are you SURE they are as low as it could go, not as HIGH as it could go?

sorry to be an *** like that, but the other day i was on my way out the door in a rush, and couldnt find my keys... looked all over the couch just to realise they were in my hand the whole time (got to stop smokin the wacky tabacky!) lol jk

hope this helps?

either that or maybe they just need time to settle?

nope i even turned them all the way to the top and the car looked like a dune buggy so i rules that out. I doubt they need to settle for it was at stock height.

put up some pix. you sound like you know what you're doing but maybe you made a minor error somewhere that we may pick up in a pic.

If you turned the seats and collars to the top then you've lifted the car. The closer the perches are to the road, the closer the car will be to the road. To put it another way, the more strut you have inside the coil spring, the lower you'll be. Lower the spring perches to lower the car.
