Rear window problem . . .
Today I rode around with my rear windows down, and when I went to put them back up, the LR balked.
I could get it half-way up, and then, as if hitting a sensor, it would partially retract again.
I managed to coax it all the way up manually, and I don't use it often at all, but I don't like things broken on the car.
Is it likely the motor, the regulator, the track, or what?
I've never taken a back door-panel off the car, so I'm venturing into new territory here . . .

You know you're getting power to the door, and you know the motor is probably fine. If the window stops at the same place every time, I'm betting it's the regulator. You're going to have to take it apart. I'll bet you'll see something broken, like one of the guides that the window slides on.
I took the door panel off, and I found the white pulley wheel in the bottom of the door, broken in two.
Has anyone ever tried one the of the repair kits off of eBay?
I think that might be preferable to a used regulator from a knacker's yard or eBay, as they'd already be aged and used . . .

I’ve called my mechanic and he’s going with a new after-market regulator. For the modest difference in price I can get it done tomorrow morning and be done with it.
I am in Colorado and we’re experiencing seasonal weather . . . for Arizona, and getting it done quickly and painlessly is a better option that taking a week to find a second-hand regulator.
In addition, letting him make a couple of bucks will stand me in good stead if I ever really need a break or if there’s ever an emergency . . .
