other than using the scan tool... driving it for about 30 minutes its supposed to re-adapt it. but the problem is, if there is a fault related to the throttle body module most likely it won't go thru.

you want in on a little dealer secret...?

start the car... and remove the battery while the car is running.

you won't loose TB adapt, pinch protection, or even have to reset the clock.

just make sure you have the replacement battery ready to go in.

people are often confused about the alternators purpose. they think its to charge the battery and the car runs off of the battery.

car runs off of the alternator. the battery is used for starting and reserve power. yes, the alt does charge the battery but its not it primary function

30 minute of driving will adapt the fuel trim adjustments not the throttle adapt. The ecu goes thru a throttle adapt the first time the key is turned on after the battery has been disconnected. If you do this you can actual hear the throttle going thru a cycle for the throttle adaptation. I used to do a throttle adapt a few times a week and once after swapping in a new chip while at the drag races every single weekend for the first 2 years of the 8 years I have been drag racing the 8 years.
