so no idea where to start... :O
ok here we go....Car is limp mode..... it idles very rough.....I just changed the spark plugs and there was oil in each , not a lot but enough that my friends thought it was hilariously funny thinking im F@*cked <chevy/Ford fans> and there on occassion is white smoke through the A/c, some kind of gasket???? Im only 18 and arnt very familiar with car maintence so any ideas... its a 99 A4 1.8T
Oil in spark plug well - happens because you have an OHC engine and the seals by the plugs and the valve cover gasket needs replacing. Not terribly serious unless the oil is up by the spark plug insuator.
AC smoke smell funny? If not then its fog. Happens sometimes depending on the weather. If it smells musty, the evaporator drain < search needs to be cleaned. If it smells sweet & theres a slow coolant loss, it could be a heater core leak.
Limp mode? You could check for trouble codes and post then clear the codes. They have code readers at Autozone or Advance or, better, get VAG COM < Search program & cheap Ebay cable & do it yourself with a laptop.
Speaking of do it yourself, DIY saves big bucks & you learn to do something useful with your hands.

Bad coilpack(s), improperly gapped plugs, fouled plugs, vacuum leak are all possible. Valve cover gasket job is very easy - there are DIYs out there to show you how.
