Default soooo my car doesnt start

I go into walmart for less than 5 min and come back to my car to leave and it doesnt start. my volt meter is at 12 but i get no crank at all.

Could it be my starter?

or a new battery?

CEL? i swear these has happened to many twice already (with no CEL). All i do is let the car sit for a while then try again and it rtarts...its almost as if the engine was flooded and needed time to dry.

Coolant temp sensor usually causes this. It takes a crap and gives false readings to the computer. The car needs different fuel mixtures for cold vs hot starting and if the ECU gets a bad read from the CTS and fuels wrong, the car won't start. Cheap part ($20ish) and pretty simple to change.

Check the other ignition-dependent functions - do your turn signals work with they key on? Rear defogger? And a final check - take off the lower dash panel under the steering column. There are four power posts under there, three with red wires and one with a yellow wire. Turn the key on and check voltage at the yellow. If you have zero volts, then that's a telltale. It's sounding like your ignition switch took a crap. Mine did two weeks ago. I had no lights, no voltage at the post, no HVAC, no defogger, no turn signals. Replaced the switch and all was well again. Got it for $36 shipped from germanautoparts.com and I saw them on eBay today for $17 plus s/h. Easy to change. I'd put money on that being your issue based on what you just posted.

I have a similar problem, believe it or not. I drove 100 miles to my son's college. Parked the car, spent 2 hours there, went to start it AND, engine turned half, then nothing...full voltage, everything worked etc... it was about 100 degrees that day. So, I just decided to have my son's friends push it (I have a 5 speed), key on, popped the clutch and it started right away???? WTF right? HMMMM....So, then I stop at a red light a few miles away, I kill it, does the same thing, except this time, it has full power, nothing turns, no clicks, all my lights etc work AND MY CLUTCH FALLS to the ground????? So, I turn key off, push start the car again, drove it home, clutch fine again,....never happened again??? that was 6 months ago.....LOL
