ok so my spark plugs are drenched in oil. I know i need to replace the valve cover but what would be a good way to get the oil out from the spark plug cylinder area? I am going to change the valve cover today.

 

Is the oil in hole around the spark plugs, or do you mean inside the cylinder? If it's just around the plug, stick a rag in there to soak up as much as you can, or paper towel, then remove and clean the spark plug and coil pack connector.

when you replace your vave covers you should also replace your spark plug well o-rings. They should come with the valve cover gasket kit
