several members have done business with Mike at Ringer Racing, and no one has complained... everyone has good things to say, and he really knows his stuff when it comes to turbos and clutches...

Did you get rid of that sound you were talking about?

Forgot to mention. I still haven't located the source of the sound, unfortunately. When I'm under the hood manually pushing the throttle down, I cant get it to make the sound. It's only while I am driving. I am going to focus on it a bit more when I do the timing belt, water pump, and FMIC. I am going to also re-run the vac lines, and use a hard pipe for most of the intercooler piping.

I think there is a possibility that it could be coming MAF? It just seems weird that it only makes it when it is right between boosting, and vacuuming.

The reason I ask is i had this same problem and think its the cat. The honey comb inside has come loose.
But don't buy one of those cheap ones online cause it will just happen again. Learn from my mistake.

When it happened to you, did you have a boost gauge? I just find it weird that it only does it at "0", know what I'm sayin'?

High flow cat is definitely on my list. I don't have intentions of cheaping out at all. This is my first serious build.

No I didn't have a boost gauge when it first started because I thought it was the dv valve so I picked a tt dv from ecs

To only find out that it did more with the new dv, when i was holding boost the way i was supposed to. then I got the boost gauge to find out what was going on and yes it was around the "0"
