what are the main hoses/vacume lines i need to be looking for, for the boost leak

I should have told u that before when I said boost leak check. I needed to be more specific. Do it with the car off and nothing else on around you so you can hear. Every time mine has been easy to find thanks to this.

under ideal conditions, yes. Mine usually tops out about 10 or 11. Not for long though.....

Yes. But it will depend on Elevation and temps.

alright guys i did the boost leak test and i also sprayed soap water with a spray bottle over the clamps and any hoses that had connections and no leaks WTF! i also noticed that my temp gauge works once in a while today it didn't work but when i left class it worked for like 5 min and then it dropped.

what other parts could be putting the car in limp mode?

My buddy had the same problem and could not find the problem until he worked on his car one day and noticed that he had a hole in his throttle body boot. I would check that too. Seems to be a commong problem on our cars
