i'm pretty sure there is a fuse for the power windows....if you take your door panel off and flick the switch can you hear anything moving?

there is no power winodw fuse believe me i looked 30 times, took the door panel off theres no power to the switches(they dont light up anymore) there is no sounds because no power is sent from the switches because there is no power to the switches, if it was something simple like that i would have had it fixed by now. this is something more than wires i've gone over them all already. i need to know what controls the windows and if it controls anything else because everything else in the car works perfectly fine with the exception of the sunroof which im assuming stopped working with the windows. because they all worked like a week before i noticed none of them worked.

did you check the switches for any power? use a voltmeter to see if their is any power going to the switch.

i checked my car for a fuse too, i didn't see one in the kick panel but i am pretty sure there is one somewhere, like under the dash by the steering wheel....

i used a test light. i don't own a voltmeter. should work anyway. from what im reading its probably the central locking module. since i guess that controls the power windows. im really just trying to see is anyone else has had this same problem. locks and alarm but no windows at all.

One thing I forgot to tell you is that when I change the central locking module the fist time, the pump for the new module was bad and so, the windows start working again but not the door locks so a change it again and everything went back normal. And when the oem module started to work bad, at fist the door locks was gone then the windows followed soon after. And I read on some other tread that it can also affect the dome light.

Look in the parts classifieds section... Also local junk yards. I just did this on a friends car.

BTW if you replace the central locking control thing you will need to re-program your keys to work with that control module. Just an FYI.

Any one have a picture of the part. I have a 98 2.8 A4/B5 with power windows not going down, moonroof, will not open and no power to radio. The good, door locks work inside and outside via key. My door side view mirrors work too.
