What did you do to your B5 today?
Was able to get some work done over the 4-day weekend

What you'll first see is an AGN valve cover. Went this route because A) it looks super clean and will be easier to keep clean B) doesn't require an engine cover to look good (so I can sell my CF engine cover) C) my TSI coilpacks, which were meant to be push-down, can be used as such (will be able to sell my 034 coilpack adapters) D) it has a breather port which I'll hook up to my PCV/catch can setup soon (it's capped off for the time being).
Second, if you look closely, you'll see that I installed an EGT probe onto the FT exhaust manifold. The wiring and gauge aren't together yet but soon enough!

Looks great man! I'm in the process of shaving a spare AWM valve cover I picked up several months ago, hoping it looks just like that when I'm done. Seems you went the better/easier/smarter/faster route by just buying that one lol...
Wellllll it's not necessarily the easiest route. The AWM cover is a direct fit that you know will work.
For the first 15mins or so while the engine was running it sounded like there was a rubbing noise coming from underneath the timing belt cover, but it's gone now.
And since this cover relocates the oil cap, I moved the plastic cam cover to under the oil cap so I could run the engine with the oil cap removed (for potential diagnostic work).
Also I forgot to mark TDC on the valve cover so the next time I mess with timing I'll have to use the old valve cover as a reference.

I took 6 hours to find someone to fix my stock alloy rim that i use as winter rims, and then spent another 20 minutes gorilla-taping my driver's side mirror to the car... because someone decided their door looked nicely taking it off my car.
Spent 30 minutes last night putting my own car back together in the parking lot at FSK Audi in Frederick MD after paying them $450 to repair it. Apparently "your car is done" means "the coolant line is fixed but we're not going to put the turbo inlet, MAF sensor, air filter, or intake ducting back on and we'll leave it in the parking lot with a check engine light."
Bahaha you always have the best gifs. I guess, but I was still pissed about it. I'm gonna tear the intake back down this weekend. Extend the hose between the catch can and the valve cover vent, tuck some wires, and just generally clean **** up.

Last I remember your bay was quite cramped so I'm looking forward to the difference! What will you be tucking?
Still going to be more cramped than I would like, but I deleted the SAI pump and associated wiring, all of the PCV crap (replaced with a catch can) and the airbox. I'm gonna clean everything out and rearrange some stuff and I'll post pics.
