finally got engine started today (sounds awesome) minus a coolant leak near water pump. Special "o-ring" on backorder from audi should be here tomorrow then only 4-6 more hours of work taking top end off and replacing o ring. Then assuming no other issues my car should be done!...praying part gets here early tomorrow...

in other news installed my new DEPO headlights and Krauto HID kit! ...but my car isnt running yet :/ LOL

Well after my little rally cross adventure at Summit Point last weekend I can hear the passenger's front suspension creaking and clunking. Not sure if it's control arms or shock mounts or what but I'm fairly certain that stuff is all original so I'll prolly just replace it all anyway.

Also picked up Bilstein sport shocks for the rear already, need to order some HD metal sway bar end links and I should be able to do the rear in the next week or so.

Made quick work out of replacing the front caliper guide pins/bushings with the Tyrolsport brake caliper stiffening kit. They came out with a new version that uses longer bushings to put rubber caps on the ends I think I need to wait for the brake pads to re-bed in before knowing the difference for sure. In any case the old guide pins had zero lubrication on them!

Notice any difference? I bought that kit with the bronze bushings in a group buy on Audizine like two years ago and still haven't put it in lol. If it's worth the hassle I might throw it in when I do my control arms later this spring.

Put Rain-x on my front and rear windows and replaced my shitty Rain-x wipers with some Bosch Icon's. Supposed to rain today, so I hope they work. Even if they aren't that great, they can't be any worse than the Rain-x wipers. They were dreadful.

I've been having a slight issue with a soft brake pedal, and probably need to flush the whole system, so I can't say for sure. Also since I didn't replace the pads/rotors the pads will need to bed in again since the caliper position is a little different due to no longer having rubber bushings.

They aren't a hassle to install at all!

You'll notice a difference if you take it out of the trunk and actually put it on.

Default New Spark Plugs

I put new spark plugs into my 2000 A4 Quattro 1.8T. Just copper Autolites gapped at .028"
Makes a big difference in the smoothness of the engine. Old plugs were in bad shape. They were worn and the gaps were as much as twice what the should have been.

I picked up some TT calipers and carriers for $100 shipped! Now to decide on pads/rotors...
