What did you do to your B5 today?
Today was an awesome day for my b5. I installed new front pads and rotors, a column mounted boost gauge, and just finished with my clear corners mod.
Still need to take an updated pic, but it's way too dark outside to do that now. But DAMN does she look good.
P.S. Are we allowed to use the word "damn" in posts? Not sure if you guys consider it a bad word or not, but if it is feel free to delete my post

Rogue A4, we are pretty lax around here - take a gander through some of the Off Topic posts to see lol. We don't typically censor speech in posts unless it's really bad or maliciously directed at other members. In any event, "damn" isn't going to offend anyone around here.
Today my battery light came on out of the blue. Gauge was showing just under 12V while driving, all electrical a and accessories turned off. Car made it home fine (14 miles). I scanned it at home with Vagcom and had no indications of a failure in the scan results. Put a trickle charger on for 30 minutes or so and it fired up showing the same voltage. My multimeter is loaned out so I couldn't take a direct battery voltage reading. Let the car idle a few minutes, then gave it two quick, hard stabs of the throttle, up to about 5000RPM, and the voltage jumped to over 13. Stayed there from then on, even when I turned on the radio, heat, rear defroster, and HIDs. Weird. Battery is ~2.5 years old and has never been drained down. Suspect the alternator may be starting to die so I'm shopping for one. We'll see what happens.
Meanwhile since I sold my DVD head unit this past week and dismounted the media box from under the passenger dash, I figured it was high time to plug the footwell light back in and swap in an LED bulb to replace the incandescent bulb and complete the LED conversion.
Also found during my Vagcom scan that both my rear O2s are crappy, and the right side sensor is dead. Decision time - replace the two sensors, or contact Speedtuning and reflash my ECU with an add-on to code out the rear O2s and SAP completely. Price is about the same either way. Leaning toward the reflash but I need my car. If I can yank an ECU at the salvage yard, that'll be the plan.

And tonight I got a surprise visit from the LED Czar, Emil. He was on the way back from a show and swung by my house to drop off a set of clear door marker lights with LEDs. These replace the red door lights on the car and look way cleaner. The pics are shitty (iPhone at night isn't exactly worthy of Ansel Adams), but you get the picture. I'll add a couple more pics when I can get good ones. He's got more in stock - hit him up. They rock

Nice doors I want to put all LED lights in my car.
Many of us have full LED setups, and they're all from Emil. Hit him up on his website and put in an order. You'll love them. He deals HIDs too (which many of us also run), so if you don't have those already, Krautoparts is one-stop shopping. I run his low beam HIDs in my A4 and his bixenon HIDs in my Odyssey. The A4 also has his LEDs for the full interior, license plate lights, projector reverse lights (which are just plain bananas in terms of output), and now the door lamps. Happy with all of them.
