Question At what temperature should I check my steering fluid level? Hot or Cold?

Audi A4 B5 model 2000, 1.8T, and petrol, someone please help me not to screw up this very high maintenance car. When I check my steering hydraulic level when engine is cold/cool, The level at the dipstick is MIN. when I start the car and it warms up to operating temperature i.e. 90cc, the level rises to MAX. Now do I need to top up? In which case i expect the level when hot will rise above the MAX Mark.

I think you are fine. I just check all my fluids every oil change.
