BBK = Big brake kit.

It's funny how some of you guys didn't even plan on getting an Audi.

I guess we all had our faith to meet in this forum.

Names that start with a V: Vanessa,Vicky?

I started looking for a car while i was stationed at ft huachucas intel school, and was really lucky to test drive alot of different cars in Tucson every weekend ( ran'em like a bat outta hell on the back roads of the desert, but not real worried about gettin stuck out there, i was recon after all and could, if i had to, find my way home). The audi and afew other small displacement AWD sedans really stuck out. But when i asked myself if i wanted sport or luxury, i said both... Thus my love for the timeless beauty, sturdiness, clean lines, and sure footed-ness of the Quattro A4. When i finally ets'ed, i found myself back at home in NOR*CAL and began my hunt. It took me two weeks to find her... in San Francisco. She was a phukn beauty. Still is. Always will be. Black on Black Cloth, cold weather pkg, sport pkg, ultra low miles, maintained meticulously well, garaged and yet to have reached her full potential. That summer was perfect... the sun roof and flawless paint on the car were at its best after a wash, wax and detail so i could cruise McHenry ( dragstrip in George Lucas' American Grafitti...) That car.... its like honey to the females out here... :: real long, exaggerated sigh:: ...good times

Then i found out we had the world of aftermarket performance parts in our hands...

the grin on my face when i exchanged cash for keys... ear to phukn ear!!!!

my b5 story goes like this i have a buddy that is from germany and he had a 97 jetta and i had a 92 civic si i use to talk crap to him about his vw all the time then one day when i worked for a company that did car stereo theft replacement i was doing a job for a guy that had a black 99 1.8ta4 someone had stolen his cd player and sub so i was out their replacing it when i got hungray and called the owner and said im going to lunch and id be back in 30mins he asked are you taking my car? i answered no he said you have to and i asked why he said it will be the most fun you have ever had in a car he even told me to drive it like it was mine, so i took him up for it and i drove it for about 20 miles and i was in love.
at the time i wasn't making enough money to get a new car but as soon as i got a new better paying job and wanted to reward myself with a new car the first and only thing that came to mind was that a4 so i looked and looked but i couldn't find what i wanted till one day a old high school friend had called me out of the blue and asked me if i could help him out by buying is black a4 1.8t and i asked how am i going to get the car?(since he lived in pittsburg at this time and i live in denver) his answer was you take care of me and ill take care of getting the car to you. then my next question was why well he wass getting a divorce from his wife and couldn't afford it anymore so i just bought out his loan and about 2 weeks later the car was at my door.

What timing and it had to have been met to be since he had no idea that i was even looking for an a4 that was black with the 1.8t and a manual transmission and he happened to have the one i was looking for.

My search started in the beginning of '06, when i had just gotten my job. I was just looking at black on black cars and only manual, and I ended up finding a 1996 A6 Quattro, fully loaded for about 5k. It had a handful of problems that would have been cost less than $500 to fix. Didn't end up buying it. Once it became '07, I was going nuts trying to find a car. Ended up buying a '94 Volvo 850 Turbo for 3k. Soooo much fun to drive, I forgot to look into possible problems. Even after I bought it, I kept searching for black on black cars, mainly BMW. Was trying to get an M3. Closing in on the end of '07, a small dealership had a BMW 323is and a 2000 A4 2.8. I test drove both with my dad. I was suprised that I loved the Audi more. And again, I couldn't get either. This trend seems to happen a lot with me. Then behold, I find another A4, Quattro, manual, with black and white interior and gold/tan exterior. Had only one problem, the heat did not work at all. Told the dealer that I would only buy it if they covered the cost of fixing it. They agreed. So then I bought my now owned 2001 A4 1.8T QM for...$6000!! It retailed for over 12k. It's been about a month since I've had the car, and I can't help but smile while driving in it. I don't think I'll be able to drive anything but Quattro now. It's just something else. Love taking corners at high speeds.

I totally planned on going with a ford so finding a luxury car at the price i got it for was nice. It was a match made in heaven.

I always wanted a B5 A4 for my first car but couldnt find one in my price range in good shape so I went with a 2000 toyota celica gt-s 6 speed. Had fun with that but got bored with fwd. I started looking for an awd turbo car and came across my 99.5 A4 1.8tqm for $7,200. I was already lowered on bilsteins/H&R with some 18s and I bought it right away and fell in love with it.
