Battery replacement
you should not have any problems when changing the battery,i change it mine like a month a agoo and did not had any problems after that. I put audi battery but you can get the ones that sell at autozone or other auto parts
Go to autozone or another parts store and buy the plug in adapter that goes into the cig outlet and on the other end a 9v battery hooks to it. Keeps just enough juice in the system until the new battery is connected and its cheap. Good tool to have for the future too since batteries are always going to go bad eventually
like this, its called computer memory keeper adapter >>> http://media.toolking.com/catalog/pr...ory_Keeper.jpg

didnt know u could do that without harming the car. Good info sir!
Hi, need some advice. I replaced the battery on my 1.8L T A4 Avant wagon (1000 Cold amp) and now the engine will turn over but not start. Interior electronics, windows etc. work, but will not start, as if a kill switch was engaged during replacement. I was going to purchase a VCDS off Ross tech, but wasn’t sure it was needed for this year. Ughhh, Any help is appreciated.

You can also hook it up to another car if your afraid of computer memory getting wiped.
