Default bose radio - no volume

hey guys. i dont know what happened but the volume on my radio isnt working.
no matter what i try - satellite - cd - fm, there is no sound coming out at all. the display on the radio shows the station or if i try the cd, it shows which cd is being played but i hear nothing. i wondered if i may have hit a "mute" button but there isnt any mention of it in the manual.

it was working fine last nite on my way to work but the next morning ...nothing.

this also actually happened awhile back but it went back on after turning off and restarting the car. it didnt do it this time.

anyone know what could be the problem?

On my A6 there is a secret radio menu that can be used to crank up the volume. Hold the MENU button down for 5 seconds and it should pop up on the display. May or may not help (or work). I'm not aware of a mute button or setting.
