Anyone know another option than replacing both converters on a 2002 A4 3.0 that will still pass DEQ?

 

I haven't done it, but I've seen a lot of posts (on Audizine) about installing spacers on the oxygen sensors. Most of the posts are from guys with the 1.8T motor, but I would guess the principal applies to the 3.0. Moving the O2 sensors a bit further away from the exhaust stream reduces the pollutants measured. I believe it is only the post cat O2 sensors that factor into the emissions control.
