Mines the free one. i have noticed that sometimes when the car is started it will not clear it. is your car idling when you try to clear it or just on but not started?

If u get unrecongnized port just switch your plug to a different usb outlet. Then go in a switch the com port in device manager and vagcom. If u run into any problems pm me and ill walk u through as best i can.
I sent you a PM.
Thanks Pa4ul.

I don't know why the guy on the first page was saying the brake light switch was gonna run you $230

These guys are decent:

Audi A4 Brake Light Switch at AM Autoparts

I'm having a similar issue as you, but my cruise works fine. ESP light doesn't bug me as the CEL.

I was told by the techs at the stealership that I need to change mine too. Kinda makes sense when I press the check button it shows the BRAKE with the circle around it.

Thats the worst thing i ever heard. The hydraulic mount fault is there because someone left the sensor unplugged last time they did and oil change.

Most common problems for esp.... Wheel speed sensors, brake light switch, damaged tone rings, or steering angle sensor
Check MAF SENSOR Somtetimes that happens when engine idle or air filter
