Default hard shifting sometimes.

can a bad clutch cause this problem that sometimes its hard to shift gear. going from first 2 second feels like its forcing it in gear, like the clutch didnt fully disengage. my clutch is bad and slips if i give too much throttle.

i just want to make sure that when i get my clutch replaced, this issue would be related and also disappear. i dont really feel like pulling the transmission apart to replace the synchros.

It could be the clutch. I had a syncro problem when I had my stealth. It just sounded like I was grinding even after I changed the clutch, but I never had a problem with it shifting hard. I would go a new clutch first.

when i say shift hard, i mean its hard as crap to get it into the next gear. sometimes i have to rev match to get it to go in. i have bled the clutch line and same issue.

but you haven't changed it yet, correct?

From what you're saying you're basically power shifting. Are you able to down shift easily?

yes it is easier than upshifting. and the rev match is the only way to get it to shift smoother. i do still use clutch. but power shifting is keeping foot on gas pedal at full throttle while shifting. what i am doing is bringing the rpm up or down to match the next gear rpm speed so it will slide in.

i did adjust the shifter to shift linkage and it helped some but its still noticeable
