Mods for the A4 3.0 V6

pushed farther than that a supercharger would be your only route. Doing a turbo/s on a 3.0l would cost 4x what a supercharger would because of the extensive labor of cutting up the subframe just to get the turbos to fit in such a small space. I would say the "dealer" tech you talked to was a moron.

Seems like this chip (company is local to me!!) would give it more power than an APR tuned 1.8T or 2.0T @ 210HP and 236Tq stage one. The 3.0L can warrant 236hp and mid 240TQ according to what they told me!

You'll be lucky if it gives you a 10hp gain. I say 5-7hp is realistic. That's CHP btw
What is CHP? I'm more interested in torque gains anyway. If they can do it tomorrow, I'll "report" back. I'm going from a 550crank HP/TQ GTO to the Audi. Needless to say, the car is awesome, but I have less than 1/2 the power....

a turbo on a 3.0 doesn't sound that good anyway,
met someone who put one on a VW 3.2, if its not stock, it doesn't sound as good,
at least not to me.
The Neuspeed exhaust sounds better by its self.
called my brother today, he's a tech himself, he said the same thing, too much money for little satisfaction.
btw, when someone is asking a question, no need to be rude, state it politely and people would be more willing to listen.

the bummer about the 034motorsport chip is there's no dyno to prove the increases. Same here: http://www.lltek.com/sprintboost_plus.htm I wonder which is better.
As far as a cam, I had one in my GTO, and it helped make a lot more top end power, but nothing down low..... do a search on google for cams, and you'll see a lot of info, about size/lobe, durations, etc..... I've never heard of anyone doing a cam in an audi. I'd maybe look at the CAI, exhaust, etc., as safe "bets" on some increased power.
Honestly, this car is a "dog" compared to my GTO - I don't believe how powerful that 5.7L was (corvette engine). Anyway, I'll be trying to find a few things to make this a bit more peppy - but I LOVE the car...

I'll see what I can get on google as far as cam info,
my stepdads 1970's charger has a cam in it so thats where i got the idea from.
I have the A4 3.0 6-speed as well mine has the Ultra Sport Package

I have been in a chipped unitronic 3.0L A4 with a full magnaflow exhaust, it really wasn't a blow the doors off S4 power, but you could feel a slight difference.
As far as camshafts, that trick only works on big *** V8's with larger strokes. Not to mention you have 4 camshafts and it would cost a crap ton for about 10 horsepower MAX.

And whats the difference between magnaflow and neuspeed?

My brother and his friends (who have VW's) pretty much swear by neuspeed.
is one going to give me better performance than the other?

listened to the sound files for magnaflow, magna seems to sound louder in car than the neuspeed and claims to gain 8hp and 12lb-ft. (on the '04 1.8L)
