Need help, axles keep breaking
I have a 2006 Audi A4 1.8t convertible, and I went through to cv axles. Both are passenger side. One day I was replacing a MAF sensor wire and decided to see if it works with a test drive, and my axle broke, it hasn’t been replaced in a while so no big deal. Replaced the axle that same day and the moment I put it in drive (it’s automatic) the axle started making noise and wouldn’t move. Had to put it in neutral to bring it back home, luckily I only made it out of the drive way so it wasn’t to bad. 2 weeks later I got around to replace it with another which was brand new, because I thought the last one might’ve been refurbished, and same thing, but this time I made sure all the bolts lined up and everything was to torqued to spec. As soon as I put it in reverse to get out of my drive way I hear the noise again, but this time it didn’t break entirely. You can see the axle boot by the transmission is twisted but it didn’t tear apart like the last one. So if there’s anyone out there that can give me some ideas or where to start looking that would be great.
also I didn’t know where to post this so I tried my best with this thread. Please fix if needed thank you.
