Default Need info on tuning an A4 1.8t

I am looking for a d/d and the a4 1.8t is at the top of my list, but i am going to tune it. and i would want to get at least 300hp out of it. How easily can this be done, and with what mods? and am i going to mess up the internals of the engine? and if so what would i need to up grade to keep it strong and reliable?
any help would be much appreciated.

chp or whp? The internals should hold up depending on how many miles the car has/how well it was maintained by the previous owner. To achieve either goal your looking at a bigger turbo, inj, inlet pipe, exhaust, fmic, clutch and some sort of tuning depending on the route you choose.
Heres the best thing to look at https://www.audiforums.com/forum/sho...haust+manifold

Im actually about to do a gtrs swap on mine, I'll do a write up on the install in the nxt few weeks.

Keep it under 300whp/tq and you'll be fine. But as a preventative measure to a compression/leakdown tests to determine how good your motor is. The power is attainable depending on your budget. For a reliable, well built 300whp DD exect $5-7.5k in parts plus labor. Of course you can go cheaper routes but it may break down and cost you double in the long run.

How much whp can you get from that turbo with setup? and how much are you hoping to get?

I'll keep it short: get a GTRS Eliminator kit once you get the car. You'll be happy.

Check out the Eurocode site for information: Eurocode 1.8T Audi turbo kits

Im hoping to get into the high 200's people have made into the 300's on the turbo but I have a high mile motor and I want it to run until I build it.

If you go to supremepowerparts.com they have the gtrs kit for $1399, you need 440cc inj. usrallyteam.com has them for $200, I went with an atp manifold $400, neuspeed.com has an inlet pipe for the gtrs for $300 (if anyone knows of a better route for an inlet pipe let me know) then you need software, revo has a tune for that setup for I believe $700. Those are your bare essentials you also need to have all your other bolt ons done and a new clutch

I heard the k04 tb gives you something like 240 and 280 f-p, but doesnt the stock tb with injectors and software give you close to that, like 230 and 270? if thats so why swap the turbo

Personally, I'd go

Chip with injectors
K04 BT
Cat back

That should create enough power to make you **** your pants off the start

A k04 on a b6 will give you maybe a +15whp and youll be around 250ftlbs of torquebut the power will be all in the low end. Its a spike then its just past its effiency level. Look at the graph chaos92287 provided in that first link I posted . Look at the curves for the different setups and you can get a good understanding of it.
