Oil leak problems
2003 a4 1.8 quattro sport pkg 75,000k
So when i last posted i was taking the car to my private mech because the CEL was on for a MAF code and to have him check on a preety big oil leak. Turns out i needed a new head gasket and while they were at it with the whole engine already taken apart they did the timing belt and water pump too. The bill was only 1,300 which is a lot but insanely cheap compared to what the dealer quoted. anywho i was very happy too have the timing belt service done becuase i knew i was in need of having it done by 90k. But soon after i noticed the car was STILL! leaking oil. Took it back for him to look at and informed me that it is the rear main which is nothing major but if i wanted it repaired it would be a costly bill. The oil leak is a lot less than when the head was cracked but it is still leaking a few drops every morning i go to get in it and this just pisses me off after spending all the money to fix it. Is this a common problem or is my car just screwd. I was also informed this will get worse with time. IS there anywhere else it could be leaking from either? Thanks for any input
