Hallo Folks. I've been driving Audi A4 S4 2002 since nine months ago. I've changed so many things from the car from timing belt to water pump and most recently a month ago o-ring coolant flange. The car was and still is running perfect.

Except this recent behavior it started a week ago. The radiator fan stays on after I shut off the car. It happened once, I let it run for about five minutes. When I saw it was not shutting down. I started the car and shut it off. Then it was off! A week later, tonight the same thing happened. I tried to let it run for ten minutes to see if it's gonna shut down itself but to no veil. I did the same procedure I did before to have it shut. The coolant level is perfect at max, the car does not overheat according to the temperature gauge. It stays in 50*c instead of the normal 90*c. When I restart it the radiator fan shuts and the temperate gauge goes to normal 90*c.

There are no dashboard warning lights. I shut it by restarting the car cause am afraid to be left stranded by a drained battery. The radiator fan will surely drain the battery if left like that.

What is it telling me to know before the real problem occurs so that I can get it fixed. Any experience shared will be appreciated! Thanks in advance! Cheers

 

Got the temperature sensor changed. It seems it had fixed my problem. It has been a week and everything seems normal.
