Default Revo vs. APR

so i plan onn getting chiped i had the apr free trial and it was pretty sweet. i keep hearing if im going to go big turbo go revo for sure. but im curious as to which is better when it comes to the stage 1+ upgrade. revo or apr?
apr offers a dyno result when you check it out online but revo dosent...whats their results in hp and tq gain?

If you're going BT then REVO without even caring who's better at 1 or 1+. As for which is better at that point, I'm sure they're about the same as far as peak hp. The difference is probably how and when the power comes on. Unfortunately, I don't know the comparison offhand but I do know it exists in existing threads somewhere.

Comperable gains. Nothing to make or break a BT decision

If you are going BT with Revo, then go REVO now. If you have no idea why you're going REVo for BT, then you're asking for trouble. Better start learning how to VAG COM log and understand what the numbers mean. REVO is awesome for those who know how to tweak. The SPS3 unit works well for changing boost and timing settings.
If you know what you are doing or don't care, then go REVO. If you want plug and play, go APR. Although some of us with APR have learned how to tweak some settings that normally can't be tweaked with them. And finally, don't believe any manufacturer's dyno numbers on their own product.

I would say APR, REVO also offers a demo chip thats good for 5 driving hours if you want to try it out. Just remember... REVO uses a VERY similar program that was actually stolen from APR by a former employe (that now owns REVO). Biggest difference is that the APR chip is not detectable by dealers for warrent and other issues
