Sometimes after I'm at a stop light or coming out of a parking spot, when I let go of the brake, I won't move. When I hit the gas I'll get a sudden jerk and then everything is good.

This doesn't happen all the time, but definitely doesn't seem right.

Any suggestions?

my car needed a new transmission. i bought the car 2 months ago and the car dealership is still fixing it.

If it's a FWD Automatic is what's called the CVT, just do a search for it and you'll see there's some issues with that type of transmition...
