transmission question

Default transmission question

im a new member and im having alil problem, the check engine lightis turning on and offso the mechanici took mycar tosaidthe problemwas friction between the gearsand to put alubricating transmitiontreatment but i dont know which one would be good for an audi a4 1.8t 2004 auto

No oil additive is gonna cure a check engine light, friction modifiers only aid shifting the transmission and reduce chatter in the torsen differential. Its most likely a torque converter fault, or emmisions related.

the codes are p0378(timing reference high resolution)b0887(Tem transmission control modual powerrelay control cicut high) u311a(dont know)u2200(dont know)the mechanic dint know what the lasttwo codes were
