Water coming inside car

Water coming inside car
I read through the numerous posts on this issue and it sounds like I need to unclog the drain located somewhere under the battery but I am posting this to double check.
So every now and then ive noticed that the floor mat on the front driverside was wet. Few days ago heavy rains hit and when I opened the car the next day the driverside floor was soaked with water. I know that the water is coming from under the steering wheel cuz I have felt it drop on my leg while driving before. I do have an aftermarket amp installed. It looks like the shop routed the amp wire through a large pre existing hole.

yeah i have that same problem.
i live in california where it doesnt rain a whole lot but i would assume things could be worse.
i took it to the dealership where a buddy of mine works.they said this happens often, they said sometime when ppl install different head units..etc. they forget to re-install a certain gromet that it located next to the steering colum in the firewall.
thus when it rains. it leaks through that little f**kin hole.
thats why it usually only happens in heavy rain.
so advice?...check it out. see if you see anything missing or a gap in the firewall. or just take it to audi make them fix that
im sure its not safe to have a wet car...mold?..electrical?
