Wiper Location and Washer Issues
I've got a '02 3.0 quattro and the wipers have always worked fine while on but when you turn them off, they rest about a 1/6th of the way up on the windshield.
Is there a way to reset them so that they rest lower against the cowling?
I bought this car a couple of years ago and the daughter has been using it for college so I don't see it much. After driving it to work today, I think it needs fixed.
Another thing is that the washer seems very weak and my daughter says it goes through washer fluid very fast. Maybe a leak in the lines? I think it has the spray system that washes the headlights, not so sure about that though??? It looks like some sort of gizmo under the bumper that pops up supposedly.
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, does anyone know where the stereo amp is located? It has the factory Bose system.

Take the wiper off (remove plastic cap with small flat tip screwdriver, then remove nut. Lift up on wiper blade might have to tap down on bolt and it should pop right out) Move blade a couple notches into position where you want it. You might want to mark with tape or something original location as a reference point of how much to move it. I replaced my wiper assembly and my passenger wiper is a little too low and my hood pinches it when i open it. just haven't gotten around to fixing it.
Passenger side of trunk behind panel. Should be a little vent and a outlet right on panel where it is.
When I fill the washer reservoir, it tends to overflow somewhere before it reaches the top of the filler hole. A mechanic that was filling it said there must be a crack or big hole in the reservoir. Is it hard or expensive to replace?
A lot of times it's the vent hose that has come out of the grommet in the lower reservoir and the fluid will run out until the upper reservoir is mostly empty. You need to remove the fender liner and lower reservoir to check. It's the small corregated tube that runs to the top of the upper reservoir and lets air into the lower so it will fill without gurgling back. There's also a grommet between the two reservoirs but I've rarely seen those be the cause of a leak.
