use the recommended thicker 5w oil in the summer heat and the thinner 0w oil in the cold months. the turbos do tend to burn the oil up especially if you drive it hard.

i only had the light come up once and it was just over 10,000 km (6,250 miles) since the last oil change and it was really hot and i tend to drive it hard. i try to change the oil every 5,000 miles or 8,000 km. i'm also guilty of using 0w all year round.
