I agree I will feel more comfortable and I'm actually in the market for a new car. I will be selling this one, but I'm not the type of guy who is sleezy. I figure I'll get the car fixed all up to date and the new owner will have a very recent updated reliable car. Not to mention I should be able to get a little more this way as well so it will be a win win, even if it din't matter at least I'll know someone got a good deal, the car has served me well.

Whenever I go over bumps I will hear a strong knocking noise near the front right wheel. Is this a ball joint or something else?

Guessing it would be the control arm bushings. That would be the first thing I would check. If they are fine then I would check the ball joint. With only 80k on the car I would be a little surprised if the ball joint is bad, but not shocked.

I'm beginning to think we're the only ones left here, rhodes.

Definitely check your upper control arms. Lift the car and remove the wheel and flashing and you can see if the rubber is cracked. I drove on cracked ones for like 2 years, though, and they never clunked. Just felt a bit squishy. Clunking might also be your sway bar end links. I've actually completely lost a bolt in one in the past and it clunked all over the place.

Hey I have a question ( what a surprise ), where would you guys recommend me buying OEM parts? ECStuning? or which is the route that you all have had good shipping experience and service?

I generally go through ECS because their prices and service are great. I love them, but I've spent WAY too much there these past couple months. My only complaint with them is the $200 threshold to get free USPS shipping and on occasion they've held an order for a couple days because ONE part was a 1-2 day lead time. Very small complaints, though. Europaparts may have some of what you need as well and I've heard good things about them, but never ordered.

I have used ECS as well and like them. Most the time I get my parts through my brother who works for a Nissan dealer. Just so happens that the owner of the Nissan store also owns an Audi store

Yes King, starting to think we are the last two left
