Default AC won't blow cold air

Hey Guys, I have a 2007 A4 2.0T quattro and the AC stopped blowing cold air. Any ideas on what it may be?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

A/C systems are tricky and its never 1 thing.

You have to run a full diagnostic on the whole system and to do that you have to know A/C fundamentals and operation to know which part isn't working.

Its a job best left for a certified person, Not necessarily a dealer but atleast an A/C shop.

Most common cause is a leak..... and usually from the condensor because its exposed and usually gets hit with a rock or something

Check you fuses and is none are blown then take it in to a shop. If it is low on freon then the compressor will stop engaging and may just need a recharge. If there is a leak they can locate it and tell you how much to fix. Worst cas eis the compressor went out and that will cost lots of $$$$ to replace.

If the compressor runs and circulates freon in the system, look in the sight glass which is usually on the receiver drier. If you see bubbles in that sight glass then there is air in the system and that indicates a leak. That's a sure sign way of knowing an O ring or hose, seal on ac compressor, something is leaking.
