Anyone know what OBD2 reader this is?
I just bought an A4 b7 2.0tfsi quattro and today I dug around in the boot and found a obd reader =)
Anyone know what obd2 reader it is? I'd like to find the manual and software for it.
The only text on the reader is "sn: 17170".
There is also an usb-port on the device so it should be possible to connect to a computer I guess, but I need the software...
I got the following code:
P0299 so I've probably got a broken DV.
What kind of DV should I get?

I already knew that but thanks anyway.
I'm more interresten in the OBD reader but I think I found a similar one:

Turns out it might be a OBD Reader and flasher maybe... It looks exactly the same without the logos and stuff and there is a read/write file option also.
Anyone got excperience of a flasher?

No idea about the reader, but you should just buy a stock diverter valve. The newest revision (actually for the B8) is the cheapest and best option out there. I'm running one and it got rid of that error code.

Turns out it is a flasher =)
I got a tip on a swedish forum that it might be a http://www.vtech.se/rts.php?osCsid=9...9e23ab7ad04bc5
flasher and it is.
Nice to know what tune the car is running (the previous owner did not know). I'm now running the 250hp tune but they also have a 270hp tune that I might upgrade to sometime in the future.
I ordered the latest dv from the dealer and should get it tomorrow. I did not ask what revision it was but hopefully it will last longer than the on I'm running now.

Never seen a chip flasher like that. All the major comanies that really squeeze the power from are cars hook you up to a laptop at a shop. I'd be weary of those performance numbers as I have never heard of 1 person using it. Maybe you could hit the dyno and do some on and off testing.
