still considering, and depending on my wife's and when it's due, and if it is required, I may still do it. For now, I am happy to know I can run down the road a couple miles and rent one for free. I seem to go through phases where I REALLY want to work on my car, and then the opposite...kind of a manic-depressive Audi owner

appreciate it, you know it is just stressful when it's stressful, after it's all done you forget about it.

Like I said, once I got the correct parts, everything was a snap. I have ordered from them since without any problems.

If I can get back to the OP, I started to question the physics and the philosophies of this upgrade...

The pads are the same size, and the rotor is really only "bigger" in the sense of diameter, not really contact surface area.

It seems to me that the only advantage to this is a different "modulation" feel, not necessarily more "braking power". Obviously the calipers are the same. I don't know, maybe someone can clarify for me?

It most certainly generates a ****-ton more heat, which quite concerned me early on, in a rushed stop-and-go trip through a downtown area.

I went with the kevlar-ceramic combo for pads, but after witnessing the heat effects, I wonder if I shouldn't have gone full ceramic. At any rate, I'm not running circuits or anything, and it hasn't failed me for the single-use bringing it down quick from 100 to 0.

I think I'll be just fine, but wonder if the switch was really worth it.
