I've been researching the dipped headlight issue, and I'm aware that it could be a few things. However my license plate light will also go out at times instead of one of the headlights. Its also happening in both headlights from time to time, or just one or the other. I don't think this is a ballast issue and I'm about to head down to get the bulbs replaced.

The thing that throws me is the license plate light. Does this suggest a wiring, or a module issue?

 

Check all your connections - could be that something is loose. The license plate light issue could be that there is some rust built up on the tabs which could cause an intermittent connection.

It's easy for moisture to get into the license plate lights being that mist can accumulate from driving in the rain.
