Default High Pressure Fuel pump

B7 165000 miles. And a whole bunch of codes.

My fuel pump was taken out and the cam was checked out and was fine. Fuel pressure was below recommendation. Pcv valve was replaced and most codes went away.
After a while I had a "Fuel door open " error
For the past few years I have had a slight rev pulsation at low revs which goes away when slight gas is applied.

I have a new pump on the way but is this the problem?
I searched for threads on how to do this but only found "Under the seat" threads.
Any help would be great.

Cheers

Honestly, the problems sound unrelated. I'm not sure what the "fuel door open" error is--can you be more specific with the code?

Do you have an automatic transmission? The pulsing RPMs sounds more like the torque converter problem (search the forum, there are several threads including one with the Audi TSB about it in the thread). I have it and it's been several years. As long as it doesn't get worse or leave me stranded, I'm not inclined to pay to fix it. It's more of an annoyance.

Yea we need the faults your seeing.

The in tank fuel pump is a common failed component so it's a feasible diagnosis
