08 A4 2.0T Quattro - what is the interval for auto transmission service ? I have a 09 Mercedes c300 4-matic and they are recommending 39,000 miles fluid and filter change.

 

Don't think there is one (sealed unit). I have read that some have went ahead and serviced the fluid themselves. I have alomst 130k on mine as was thining about swapping fluid out this summer.

 

I had an 02 Passat and changed the AT fluid and filter at 150,000 miles. the old fluid was black as coal and I should've done it sooner. I traded the car in shortly after that but I noticed an improvement. I'm following the maintenance schedule for my 08 Audi A4 - next service will be due at 95,000 but not sure when (if ever) they will recommend the ATF change.

They actually don't recommend any service for the automatic transmission that is in the quattro model (at least not in the 2006 and 2008 model years I looked at).
