Default Water temp

Just bought a A4 b7 2.0 tdi 2005

silly question but where should the water temp sit, mine sits just above 50 even after 2 hours of driving. Some times drops back to the 50
But when i select hot air its gets hot.

Is it normal sitting so low down?

Thank you in advance

Just above 50 what? Degrees? Don't know much about the TDI, but if your water temp doesn't come right up to midline on the gauge (200-ish degrees) as it warms up and stay there solid, your thermostat is probably bad. Mine would sit at about 10-11 o'clock and wander up and down a bit. Thermostat.

Mine sits right at noon on the gauge (right in the middle) after warm up.

Yea 50 degrees Fahrenheit? My 2.0T had a slightly stuck open thermostat and wouldn't reach full temp, which for me is 200 Fahrenheit. Definitely need to check your thermostat or coolant temp sensor....
