Question 2011 A4 Quattro - Cooling Fans Not Working?

Hey all,

I did some searching prior to this, but haven't been able to turn up any useful threads.

No codes. Car started blowing hot air from the AC, intermittently, a while back. Never really knew what it was, besides that it didn't happen on the highway. My girlfriend once drove up a curb (which created a sudden jolt) that kicked the AC back on suddenly. At the time, I didn't consider that the problem may be the cooling fans. Tonight, however, after a short drive, the car began to overheat (first time). I get it home, pop the hood, and see that neither radiator fan is on, although one keeps "trying" to switch on by rotating a few turns, dying, stopping, and then repeating.

Before noticing that, I checked the 15A F11 fuse in the drivers' side engine compartment fuse box, which appeared intact. I swapped it just to be safe.

Am I correct in assessing that any fuses/relays are OK, and it's likely a fan motor controller or the fans themselves? Anyone have a DIY for the 2011 year on this one? Is this going to cost me a kidney?

Thanks!
